Sona Mohapatra gives a befitting reply to people questioning Ira Khan’s birthday outfit

Ira Khan is one of the most popular star kids of Bollywood. She recently celebrated her birthday in the presence of her parents Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta, beau Nupur Shikhare and others. Ira’s pool party pictures are proof that she had a blast on her special day. However, a section of netizens trolled Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan for wearing a bikini around her father. Sona Mohapatra, who was also a part of Ira’s birthday bash, has now slammed the haters.

She shared a note on Instagram that read, “All the people outraging about Ira Khan’s choice of attire or linking it to what Aamir Khan said, did or didn’t in the past please note; she is 25. A free, thinking, adult woman. Is exercising her choices. Doesn’t need her dad’s approval or yours. BUZZ off. Shove your politics where (sun emoji) doesn’t shine.. #Patriarchy #India.”

Many social media users praised Sona for taking a stand for Ira. A user dropped a comment saying, “Truly in love with you #sonamohapatra for being being the way your are.” Another one commented, “Respect your voice on this. More power to free choice and better thinking by us as a world.” A third one wrote, “I really appreciate your openness and their freedom and choices of enjoying life.”

On Sunday, Ira had shared a bunch of pictures from her birthday celebrations. One of the pictures showed her cutting her birthday cake with dad Aamir Khan, mom Reena Dutta and step-brother Azad Rao Khan. Ira Khan wore a bikini and many slammed her for it.

On the other hand, Ira has no interest in working in movies. She has made it clear that she is not going to follow the footsteps of her father. Ira is super active on Instagram. The star kid keeps her followers updated and entertained all the time.
