Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor to reunite for a film?

Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor are all set to reunite for a film, if sources are to be believed.

Sources reveal that Anees Bazmee’s next directorial project ‘Mubaraka’ that already features Arjun Kapoor in the lead will see him pair opposite Sonakshi Sinha. Sonakshi has been approached for the project and apparently she has also given her nod. Earlier reports suggested Parineeti Chopra was offered a role alongside Arjun Kapoor, but she refuted these rumours.

A source says, “The makers were keen to cast a feisty actress and had a couple of names in mind. However, Sonakshi was on top of their list and they decided to get in touch with her. Bazmee met her last week for a script narration and she evinced interest.”

Previously, the film was to be helmed by Milap Zaveri and Abhishek Bachchan was to play the main lead, but the actor and director were replaced and the script was changed too. Anil Kapoor is also a part of the movie as Arjun Kapoor’s uncle.

Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha grew close during the shoot of Arjun’s home production ‘Tevar’ in 2015, but later parted ways after the film released.

A source says, “Although Sonakshi is yet to confirm her presence in ‘Mubaraka’, the makers are optimistic that she will say, yes.” Sonakshi was not available for a comment. The film will be going on the floors in October and hit screens next year.
