Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s families debunk rift rumours as they meet for dinner ahead of wedding, actor seeks blessings of to-be-FIL Shatrughan Sinha

Wedding bells are ringing in loud for Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal. The couple, who have been dating for several years are all set to exchange marital vows this weekend. Amid the happy occasion, reports were rife that Heeramandi actress’ family is upset over inter-faith marriage. While Shatrughan Sinha confirmed he will attend the wedding, the family debunked tiff claims by getting clicked together. In viral videos doing rounds, Sonakshi and her family were clicked at Zaheer’s residence where groom-to-be posed with father-in-law Shatrughan Sinha.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s family members met at the latter’s house for dinner in Mumbai on June 20. Shatrughan Sinha was all smiles and posed with his son-in-law-to-be Zaheer in front of the paparazzi. While they posed for pictures, Sonakshi Sinha left without posing for the papparazzi. Shatrughan Sinha was dressed in his festive best, while Zaheer Iqbal, who was with his family, kept his look casual. Amid rift rumours, Sonakshi’s mother Poonam Sinha was also clicked exiting Zaheer’s residence. Watch the glimpses here:

Shatrughan Sinha, in a recent interview with Zoom, addressed the false reports claiming he would not be present at his daughter’s wedding. He said, “Tell me, whose life is it anyway? It’s just the life of my only daughter Sonakshi, whom I am very proud of and immensely fond of. She calls me the pillar of her strength. I will be there at the wedding, certainly. Why shouldn’t I and why won’t I?”

About Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding 

If reports are to be believed, the couple will have a court marriage post which they will host a party at Bastian- At The Top in Lower Parel. The party will have white and ivory colour combination theme. Apart from Sinha and Ratansi family, the Heeramandi cast and their close friends including Huma Qureshi, Varun Sharma among others are expected to attend. A few days back, the actor’s were also seen enjoying bachelor party with their friends.

On the work front, Sonakshi recently won hearts for her portrayal of Fareedan in Heeramandi. She will next be seen in Kakuda alongside Riteish Deshmukh. The movie will release on Zee5.
