Earlier in their trip, the couple humorously inquired if anyone was casting for an Italian mafia film, jokingly inviting offers. Sonakshi also shared a series of photos of them dressed elegantly in Italy. They paired with the iconic soundtrack from The Godfather, featuring Al Pacino. Sonakshi and Zaheer first met at a party hosted by Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Both began their careers under his guidance; Sonakshi made her debut with him in the blockbuster Dabangg. Zaheer starred in Salman’s production ‘Notebook.’ The couple is believed to have been together for seven years and lived together for a year before tying the knot. The pair started dating in 2017 and later co-starred in the film ‘Double XL.’ They exchanged vows in a private ceremony on June 23, surrounded by family and friends from the industry.

Their wedding was a civil ceremony conducted under the Special Marriage Act. They recently celebrated their one-month anniversary in the Philippines, sharing special moments from their celebration on social media.
