Sonakshi Sinha who had started her career with ‘Dabangg’ opposite Salman Khan has proved to be one of the finest actresses in Bollywood. Over her career span, she has given some of the stellar performances in movies like ‘Lootera’, ‘Rowdy Rathore’, ‘Son of Sardaar’, and ‘Dabangg 2’ to name a few.
Her latest release was ‘Kalank’ that was a multi-starrer period drama starring Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit and Aditya Roy Kapur in pivotal roles. Her role of Satya Chaudhry, Aditya’s on-screen wife got rave reviews from the audiences. She did full justice to her role but her stint was scanty. We wished we could see more scenes of Sonakshi.
On the lesser screen time in ‘Kalank’, Sonakshi said, “A beautiful and strong role has come to me after a long time; probably after ‘Lootera’. I was so happy to be part of this film only because of the kind of world Abhishek has created and the people I got to work with. Such fine actors! Every character has a contribution in taking the story forward. I think that was the most special part. The entire experience was just surreal.”
“If George Clooney had complained about Brad Pitt getting more screen space, we would never have had ‘Ocean’s Eleven’, “ added Sona.
‘Kalank’ released on April 17 and despite promotions and buzz, the movie failed to live up to the expectations of the public and critics as well.
