Sonakshi Sinha to play Sarabjit Singh’s gritty sister

Sonakshi Sinha has been roped in by Mukta Arts to play the role of Dalbir Kaur – sister of Sarabjit Singh, the Indian who spent 22 years in a Pakistani prison on charges of being a spy. He died after a fatal attack, but the way his sister fought to free him and bring him back home had captivated the heart of the Indians.

According to sources, Ghai has already taken permission from Sarabjit Singh’s family and Dalbir has given her nod of approval. “Sonakshi took her time to say yes but her excitement about the role was clearly visible when she first heard about the role. The film will be directed by ad-filmmaker Ishwar Singh Muchla,  and is likely to go on floors early next year.

At the moment the hunt for the actor to play Sarabjit Singh is on. Lets see who gets the role.
