Sonakshi Sinha a showstopper for ‘Swades Foundation’

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha will be the showstopper at the fundraiser of Zarina Mehta’s ‘Swades Foundation’ today. As the NGO is working towards rural empowerment, the actress will walk the ramp with Mahadev Gosalkar, a farmer, who took the initiative to educate his daughter and has now become a community leader.

As per sources, Sonakshi says, “Last year, I missed being part of the fundraiser, but this time I made sure I was there. It is a small step I am taking to make a difference. In the future, I would like to adopt a village or a girl child, but right now I want to create awareness about the struggles the villagers go through to make ends meet.”

Swades Foundation is an NGO founded by Ronnie Screwala and Zarine Mehta. The Swades Foundation operates with the single-minded focus of empowering Rural India.
