Sonakshi Sinha talks about Heeramandi co-stars getting hitched and pregnant while shooting, quips, “I’m still not married”

Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Sharmin Segal are currently seen headlining Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi. While the series has been in the headlines, the cast made a graceful appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show and revealed some fun anecdote from shoot. During the episode, Kapil Sharma poked fun at Sonakshi Sinha and asked about her marriage plans.

Sonakshi Sinha expresses desire to get married

Kapil mentioned Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani’s wedding to question Sonakshi about her impending wedding, she gave an honest reply. He asked, “Alia got married, Kiara got married. Is your character in Heeramandi negative or positive?” The audience started laughing out loud at such a question, and Sonakshi answered, “Bas aap jale pe namak daal rahe ho na. Wo janta hai mujhe kitne zor se shaadi karni hai. Heeramandi bhi khatam ho gayi, meri shaadi nahi huyi. (We are done shooting for Heeramandi and I am still not married. Sharmin also got married).” Manisha quickly chimed in and said, “And Richa, she got married and she got pregnant.”

Richa Chadha then hilariously added, “It was a good practice for me. My outfits weighed 30 kilos. And later when I wore my wedding outfits, I felt like they weighed nothing. I could easily jump around and play. It felt so light.”

About Sharmin and Richa’s wedding

For those unversed, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece, Sharmin, tied the knot with Aman Mehta in November 2023. Talking about Richa, she dated Ali Fazal for a few years before tying the knot in 2022. The duo then announced pregnancy in February 2024 and they are set to welcome their first child soon.
