Sonakshi Sinha to co-judge a singing reality show with Baba Ramdev

Sonakshi Sinha has earlier donned the hat of a judge for dancing reality shows ‘Indian Idol’ and ‘Nach Baliye’. But this got to be extra special! As reported by Mid-Day, this time she has teamed up with none other than yoga guru Baba Ramdev. We heard the show will be primarily on bhajans, and will be telecast on Life OK. The participants will modify and modernise the numbers and present them in their own style.

If reports are to be believed, then the two are shooting for the show’s first episode today. What’s more? Ranveer Singh will grace the first episode as a guest! (Also Read: It’s Sonakshi Sinha’s turn to run away, in ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’ sequel?)

So far, the show is titled ‘Om Shanti Om’ . “Ranveer, Sonakshi and Ramdev are shooting for the first episode today,” a source told the publication.

“It’s a youth-oriented show and the contestants will be singing bhajans and devotional songs set to contemporary tunes. Sonakshi is the perfect combination of the traditional and the modern. She also has a great connect with youngsters,” TOI had earlier quoted a source.

Music composer Shekhar Ravijani and singer Kanika Kapoor are also said to be judging the same show.

Sonakshi’s fondness for music is known to all. She has a single titled ‘Ishqaholic’ in her kitty and has also lent her voice for a number in ‘Akira’. Also, if reports are to be believed, she is soon going to croon the reprised version of the 90’s hit ‘Tum Mile Dil Khile’ from the 1995 Telugu-Hindi movie ‘Criminal’, which was crooned by legends Hariharan and Chitra, and sensually picturised on Nagarjun and Manisha Koirala. It has also been reported that she will be assisted by Canadian rap artiste Parichay. However, there is no confirmation of the same. On the other hand, we would also like to add that we know not how apt Baba Ramdev is, for judging a music reality show!
