Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal – who have been dating each other for around 7 years now, are all set to host a dinner celebration tomorrow (June 23) evening to celebrate their union. With less than a day left until they register their marriage in a civil ceremony, pre-wedding festivities have kickstarted at the couple’s homes.
While the pre-wedding celebrations continue, the groom-to-be’s father, Iqbal Ratansi, makes a big statement. During a recent interaction with a media publication, Ratansi stated Sonakshi will not be changing her religion, aka she won’t convert to Islam, after the marriage. Read on to know all he said.

During a recent interview with Free Press Journal, Zaheer Iqbal’s father opened up about his son’s wedding. He told the publication, “It will have neither Hindu nor Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage.”
Dismissing reports of Sonakshi Sinha converting to Islam after her marriage to Zaheer Iqbal, the ‘Notebook’ actor’s father said, “She is not converting – that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts, and religion has no role to play whatsoever.” He added, “I believe in humanity. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi.”

As per reports circulating, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal will register their marriage on June 23. This will be followed by a celebratory party at the South Mumbai eatery, Bastian, beginning at 8 pm. According to several media reports, Aayush Sharma, Huma Qureshi, Salman Khan, Honey Singh, the cast of Heeramandi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Daisy Shah, Poonam Dhillon and many more celebs from the fraternity will attend tomorrow evening’s celebration.
