Actress Sonali Bendre left her fans shell-shocked when she announced on her social media handle that she has been diagnosed with ‘high-grade cancer that has metastasized’. The gutsy actress had flown to the United States for her treatment and has been keeping her fans updated about the good and the bad days she is facing in her battle against the dreaded disease.

Today, as the world is gearing to bid a farewell to 2018, Sonali too has taken to her social media handle and shared a beautiful picture.

In her post, she has not only thanked her family friends and fans for standing beside her, but also revealed that she is looking forward to a healthier and happier 2019.

Sonali, who has been diagnosed with cancer, has faced the disease like a warrior. She has never hidden her painful journey of losing her long tresses and going bald during the treatment. We salute her spirit and endurance level.

After months of undergoing chemotherapy sessions, the 43-year-old actress touched down in Mumbai at the beginning of this month. Her husband Goldie Behl confirmed that she’s still recuperating. He further added that she is back home for good. However, as the disease can make a comeback, regular check-ups are a must.

At present, Sonali Bendre is back home basking in the love of her family and familiar haunts.
