The attack on Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi has stirred the entire nation. Many Bollywood celebs like Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap, Deepika Padukone, Varun Dhawan, and Ajay Devgn among others condemned the attack. Sonali Bendre has also spoken about the brutal incident on her Instagram post. She has also expressed her fear as a parent.
She started her post with, “As a parent as I look out at the world today and I am uncertain of what the future holds for my child. Yes, I am very disturbed – the world is on fire quite literally.”
She added, “What should have been a chance for an open dialogue turned into a violent push of certain ideologies. The repeated attacks on educational institutions has shaken me and young India. The rage that is building, does not bode well for all of us and I find myself unable to dismiss my fears. Myriad questions crowd my thinking, with no clear answers, Are there any?” Towards the end, she wrote, “As we unfurl our tricolour on our 70th Republic Day, let’s pledge to stem the violence and learn to choose peace.”
“#ForOurChildren #SafeFuture ??,” she captioned the post.

Sonali is right on her part as to worry for their children is justified for any parent.
For the unversed, on January 5, a group of masked goons entered the campus of JNU and attacked several students and teachers.
