Sonali Bendre pens a heartfelt message on World Cancer Day; read here

The amount of pain caused due to cancer is well known by all. Notably, Sonali Bendre Behl is suffering from metastatic cancer and had flown to the United States for her treatment. The gutsy actress has been keeping her fans updated about the good and the bad days she is facing in her battle against the dreaded disease.

Without showing any signs of falling low, she has lived each and every moment with complete happiness. The actress has never hidden her painful journey of losing her long tresses and going bald during the treatment.

Today is ‘World Cancer Day’ and the whole world is talking about the disease and the fears attached to it. On the occasion, Sonali Bendre Behl penned a heartfelt message that will definitely make us go teary-eyed for obvious reasons. Read here:

Earlier in the day, the ‘Sarfarosh’ actress opened up about how she is dealing with her on-going battle with cancer. Sonali shared how humour is the best way of dealing with the tough phase that she is going through. The beautiful actress told Bombay Times, “I think humour is the best way to deal with it. I laughed through it, I laughed with it. And I continue to laugh at it. There is no other way to deal with it. My friends have some funny videos of me doing all the funny stuff. My hair had gone and I was constantly rubbing my head. I have one of those videos, where my friend is telling me that I am constantly rubbing my head, and I turn around and tell her that I am actually dancing to ‘Tattad Tattad’. They fell down laughing.”

It is to be noted that the actress, who spent months in New York battling cancer, returned to face the cameras. She said it’s a surreal feeling. Sonali shot a brand campaign, details of which are currently under wraps. Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar has directed the ad.

The 43-year-old actress also shared a photograph on Instagram. We can see her in a casual white dress, a sleeveless denim jacket and a pair of funky sneakers.
