Sonali Bendre is missing Ganesh Utsav celebrations back home; shares emotional post

It’s been a while since actress Sonali Bendre has been in USA as she is currently undergoing treatment for high-grade cancer. Ever since she left the country for her treatment, Sonali has been keeping her fans and friends updated with her journey of battling cancer one day at a time.

Back home, when everyone is celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi, the actress is badly missing the festivities. Sonali shared a few pictures on her Instagram handle of her son and husband performing the Ganesh Aarti. Not being able to be with them on this auspicious occasion, the actress became emotional and shared a post which read, “#GaneshChaturthi has always been very very close to my heart. Missing the celebrations back home, but still feeling blessed. Have a happy one, filled with blessings, love and joy!”

Apparently, this is the first time that the actress has not been able to be with her family and celebrate Ganesh Utsav. Previously too, the ‘Sarfarosh’ actress had expressed her disappointment at not being by his son Ranveer’s side on his 13th birthday.

She had expressed her disappointment by writing, “Ranveeeeer! My sun, my moon, my stars, my sky… Okay, maybe I’m being a bit melodramatic, but your 13th birthday deserves this. Wow, you’re a teenager now… Will need some time to wrap my head around that fact. I can’t tell you enough how proud I am of you… Your wit, your humour, your strength, your kindness, and even your mischief. Happy happy birthday, my not-so-little one. It’s the first one that we’re not together… I miss you terribly. Lots and lots of love always and forever…. biiiiig hug!”

Such emotional posts of Sonali really make us tear up. We are praying to Lord Ganesh for her speedy recovery. Get well soon, Sonali. We are pretty sure you will be back with your family very soon.
