Sonali Bendre reveals she was left with 24 inches scar after cancer surgery

Sonali Bendre is one of the most loved actresses of Bollywood. The actress is currently seen as a judge on the popular reality show, DID Li’l Masters 5. On the personal front, she is living her best life and her social media posts are proof of the same. As we know, Sonali was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. In a recent interview, Sonali opened up about her battle with cancer and shared the lesson she learnt from it.

Talking about how cancer changed her life, Sonali told Mashable India, “What Goldie and I say is BC and AC, which is before cancer and after cancer. You go through something and you learn some lessons. And, if you have not learnt them, then it’s really sad. I think there were a couple of lessons from it. The point is reminding each other that it’s not the goal, but the process and the journey that’s important.”

Recalling one of the most difficult phase of her life, Sonali said that she was left with 23-24 inch scar. She said, “The first thing that my doctors were telling me is that we want you out of the hospital as fast as possible.”

The actress further added that the doctors wanted her out of the hospital because they were concerned about her catching an infection. She added, “Post-surgery, my surgeon was like, I want you walking in 24 hours. In 24 hours, I was holding my IV and walking in the corridor. It was hard because I had a cut which is 23-24 inches.”

Sonali is active on social media. The actress keeps sharing her stunning pictures and family moments on Instagram. She keeps her fans and followers updated and entertained all the time.

On the work front, apart from judging DID Li’l Masters, Sonali is all set to make her OTT debut with a Zee5 web show, The Broken News. The actress has been busy promoting her show. A couple of days back, she introduced her character. The actress is playing Amina Qureshi in the show.
