Sonali Bendre has decided to take her love for books to social media now. The actress, who has already turned author with her parenting book, has now started a book club on Facebook, called ‘Sonalisbookclub’.
The club will see a community of readers, who will be sharing their views and discuss a book once they’ve read it. “If you can’t discuss a book with your friends after reading it, it’s boring. (Also Read: Sonali Bendre impresses us in her no make-up avatar)
“These days everybody leads a hectic life and when you meet, you talk about other things. But on social media there’s an information highway and everything comes fast. By forming the book club on Facebook I am marrying the old habit of reading with new technology. Here we can hangout, discuss, explore new ideas and authors,” claims Sonali.
The very first book that the community will discuss about will be a science fiction ‘Wool’ by Hugh Howey. “Sci-fi is my fav genre, so I decided to start with it. Everyone may not like to read sci-fi, but this is a small novel, and a great introduction to the genre,” said the actress, adding, “My father had a transferable job, so apart from my family, books were my constant companion.”
Sonali also reveals that she plans to introduce a new book every 10 days, depending on the length of the novel.
