On Wednesday night, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and her husband Anand Ahuja hosted a welcome party for former English footballer David Beckham. Beckham is on a three-day visit to India and was also cheering at the Wankhade Stadium at the epic India vs. New Zealand World Cup semi-finals. During the match, David Beckham met a bunch of Bollywood celebrities including Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Venkatesh Daggubati and others. In the evening, he was spotted at Sonam Kapoor’s residence in Mumbai and posed for the paparazzi.

The hosts Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja also posed with David Beckham outside their residence. David opted for a black t-shirt and back pants as he posed for the paps. On the other hand, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja opted for traditional outfits. For the party, Sonam Kapoor donned a white and red saree while her husband Anand Ahuja complimented her in a black kurta and white pants.

The party hosted by Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja emerged as a star-studded affair as many Bollywood celebs arrived at the residence. Among many, some of the celebs who attended were Shanaya Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar with wife Shibani Akhtar and many more.

Sonam Kapoor praises Virat Kohli’s 50th century in the World Cup semifinal match

The match between India vs Newzealand was as exciting as it could get. The match turned out to be all the more special when Virat Kohli hit his 50th century and became the first cricketer to do so, surpassing the record of Sachin Tendulkar. Lauding this feat, Sonam Kapoor took to her Instagram handle and praised this achievement and wrote, “Somewhere between cheering for Sachin to cheering for Virat, we grew up (crown emoji)”
