Sonam Kapoor bashes Instagram for not blocking troll death threats against sister Rhea Kapoor

Social media has its pros and cons and the biggest drawback is the anonymity and the freedom to write whatever one wants. This has lead to a huge amount of trolling for celebrities. Recently, Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea Kapoor was bashed by trolls but since Instagram turned down their report so Sonam bashed them.

Sonam took to her Instagram account and shared on her stories the reply she got from Instagram when she reported the troll comments that were made against her sister Rhea Kapoor. Instagram replied that the comment was not against their community policy.

To this Sonam replied, “Instagram doesn’t think death threats is a violation. Or their India team can’t read Hindi (sic).” She added, “Of course I will block this individual but are you doing your part to keep the ‘community’ safe? (sic).”

Later she also shared a screenshot of the comment that was by a troll that read, “Tu toh kutte ki maut maregi din (You’ll die a dog’s death someday) (sic).”  Rhea had also shared the same screenshot and wrote, “Just charming. Of course I am happy to block unnecessarily hateful people without giving it a thought but what pisses me off is that a death threat isn’t against your ‘community guideline’ Instagram? (sic).”
