Sonam Kapoor believes in using her celebrity status for a noble cause

The very stylish actress Sonam Kapoor is all up for noble causes. She believes in using her celebrity status to support social causes. The ‘Neerja’ actress is the ambassador for two NGOs, ‘Fight Hunger Foundation’ and ‘Cuddles Foundation’.

Sonam spoke about social causes to a popular website. She said, “It is my responsibility to use my celebrity status for a good cause. If you’re born into privilege, it’s your duty to give back to society. I think working towards these things is very important. We can live in an ivory tower and give support and money, or tweet or talk about it, but if we don’t know what’s going on at the ground level, then there’s no point. Your efforts become more effective when you are actually involved and know what’s going on.”

On the work front, Sonam Kapoor will be seen in sister Rhea Kapoor’s production ‘Veere Di Wedding’ that also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Swara Bhaskar in lead roles.
