Sonam Kapoor has a ‘slip of the tongue’ moment in her acceptance speech at an award show

Actress Sonam Kapoor gave a stellar performance in the movie ‘Neerja’ this year and she has been receiving awards for the same. At a recent awards function, Sonam bagged the Best Actress Award for her performance in the movie and while giving her acceptance speech, she made quite a blunder. Well, an excited Sonam said, “I have to thank the terrorists and passengers for this award!” Ouch! Was that a genuine speech faux pas or a ‘slip of tongue’ moment?

As soon as she said this, another actress who was a nominee for the Best Actress Award turned around dramatically and said, “What! Are the terrorists and passengers here?”, before bursting into a laughter.

We certainly believe that Sonam was thanking the characters who played terrorists and passengers in the movie, but unfortunately it didn’t come out the way it was intended to. We truly hope that next time Sonam prepares her acceptance speech, she takes more care to avoid any possible goof-ups. As her performance in ‘Neerja’ has been truly remarkable, we believe that many other awards are on their way to her.
