Sonam Kapoor lashes out at Bollywood portals for speculating about her marriage

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja have been the talk or the town over their alleged relationship, although none of the two has ever acknowledged it in public. The two are frequently spotted on outings and their social media posts about each other give fodder for gossip mills. Anand was also present when Sonam received her first National Award for ‘Neerja’ and he was also there when she walked the ramp for Ralph & Russo. Recently, gossip mills again went abuzz with stories that Sonam and Anand are all set to tie the knot. However, in her latest tweet, Sonam has quashed all reports and maintained that there is not an ounce of truth to them.

The actress is miffed with these reports and has lashed out an several Bollywood news outlets for doing stories about her relationship and impending marriage with Anand Ahuja. She tweeted, “For all the news outlets out there who are speculating about my personal life and writing unnecessary gossip about it because they think it makes good copy. If your sources are my friends and family then be rest assured they are not really my “friends or family” and if I do get married or engaged I’ll announce it on my own. So stop writing crap and stick to your real job of journalism.” [sic]

She even expressed her displeasure over how these stories were written by women columnists. She replied to an entertainment journalist’s tweet by writing, “What’s scary is that most of these columnists are women. Not realising that a women’s worth is not quantified by a ring on her finger.” [sic]
