Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput‘s unfortunate death, a sort of circus has started on social media. We have netizens bashing the Bollywood biggies and star kids left, right and centre. The negativity has increased so much that some of the celebs like Sonakshi Sinha, Saqib Salem, Zaheer Iqbal and Aayush Sharma have even quit the micro-blogging site Twitter.

Sonam Kapoor is also one of those celebs who has been facing severe backlash ever since the death of Sushant. Today, the actress finally spoke about her privilege and how proud she is of being Anil Kapoor’s daughter. She even shared a series of tweets showing the hateful comments that she has been subjected to even after disabling the comment sections of her as well as her parent’s Instagram posts.

Hitting back at her haters and trolls, Sonam took to the Twitter and wrote, “Today on Father’s Day id like to say one more thing, yes I’m my fathers daughter and yes I am here because of him and yes I’m privileged. That’s not an insult, my father has worked very hard to give me all of this. And it is my karma where I’m born and to whom I’m born. I’m proud to be his daughter.”

She had previously shared several screenshots of the hateful and vile comments coming her way in the last few days. Some of these comments even wished death upon Sonam’s future kids. Alongside the screenshots, Sonam wrote, “This is some of comments coming my way. All the media and all the people who’ve encouraged this sort of behaviour and instigated it. This is on you. People talking about how one should have been kind to someone are doing worse to others.”

She further added, “I encourage you guys to see my comment section. And I’m sure you don’t hope that the same comes your way. I hope your parents don’t have to see this sort of this stuff.”

The actress revealed that she has disabled the comment section of her as well as her parent’s Insta posts. “Yes I’ve switched off my comment section and my parents comment section because I don’t want my 64-year-old parents to go through this. They did nothing to deserve this. And I’m not doing it out of fear you morons I’m doing it out of common sense to preserve my mental health and my parents,” she wrote

Citing how Karma is the biggest leveller, Sonam also wrote, “Bullying, misguided vengeance, and the need to further your own agenda not caring about the collateral damage. This is all your karma. May god and the universe forgive you.”

Talking about the viral clip from ‘Koffee With Karan’ that surfaced post Sushant’s death the actress explained, “Also people wishing death on my future children. And on my family. That video you’ve been spouting was 7 years old. When he had one film out didn’t know him, like he didn’t know me and didn’t say anything about me ell I now.. also please go and watch the episodes where my fellow actors have maybe said much worse about me, but I have taken it in the spirit the show was meant to be, in jest.”

In the last few days, several celebs have quit Twitter citing too much negativity. And now Sonam has shared the nasty and vile messages coming to her way after Sushant’s demise.
