Sonam Kapoor quashes the reports of Kareena Kapoor opting out of ‘Veere Di Wedding’

Out of the blue, reports of Kareena Kapoor Khan planning to opt out of ‘Veere Di Wedding’ made it to the headlines and sent a shock wave in the industry. The lady, who is all set to start a new trend with working with a baby bump, seemed to have taken a step backward, but no! All of this is untrue. Sonam Kapoor, who is one of the leads in the film, has said that all of these stories hold no weightage and there is no truth behind these stories.

During a recent media interaction, Sonam clarified that the newspaper that published the news had not sought any confirmation from the makers and had published the news. She said, “Nobody from the newspaper has contacted us nor they are picking up the phone for clarification. Honestly, this is just a gossip. We are about to start shooting of certain portions of the film. However, most of the film will be shot in April post-delivery. It’s completely untrue and irresponsible way of writing news. I didn’t expect that.”

‘Veere Di Wedding’ starring Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor in collaboration with Ekta Kapoor.
