Preggers Sonam Kapoor receives backlash from netizens for not wearing mask, hubby Anand Ahuja defends her

Actor Sonam Kapoor took everyone by surprise when she announced her pregnancy with her hubby Anand Ahuja. The actor dropped some stunning pictures from her maternity photoshoot where she is seen flaunting her cute little baby bump in a black bodycon swimsuit. Post announcing the happy news, Sonam had made her first public appearance with her husband Anand Ahuja for his restaurant opening. As she visited the venue, Sonam was captured without a face mask as it is mandatory owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As Ahuja shared those pictures with Sonam, a user called out her for not wearing a mask especially when she is pregnant. “@anandahuja and @ Sonam Kapoor wear mask u r pregnant so be careful, COVID s still around,” the user’s comment read Even though the user criticised her, Anand comes to her defence as he sets the record straight. He reacts to the same comment and mentions, “yes she did! Just for the entrance she was without and then wore when she went inside”

Earlier, while announcing that they are about to bring a baby into their lives, Sonam penned a sweet note which read, “Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way. One family. Who will shower you with love and support. We can’t wait to welcome you. #everydayphenomenal #comingthisfall2022”

After her announcement, Sonam’s father Anil Kapoor is elated and can’t wait to become a grandfather. He wrote on his Instagram, “Now preparing for the most exciting role of my life – GRANDFATHER!! Our lives will never be the same again and I couldn’t be more grateful! @sonamkapoor & @anandahuja you have made us happy beyond measure with this incredible news!”
