We all know that Sonam Kapoor is a huge advocator of the LGBTQI community and its rights. Time and again, we have seen the actress speaking on public platforms about its rights. She hopes to see a world without labels one day. Earlier in a statement, Sonam said, “I’m very happy and proud that India has taken a step forward and people can live and love the way they want to love and that’s very important to me. And I think it should be very important to everybody in this world.”

This statement was in regard to the historic and landmark judgment by The Supreme Court on 6 September last year when under Section 377 of IPC, the apex court decriminalized homosexuality. Among other Bollywood stars, Sonam also tweeted on this historic judgment.

Sonam leaves no occasion to speak and support this community. In fact, she is playing a homosexual character in her upcoming movie ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’. Sonam is fully promoting her movie and along with the movie, she is also promoting the LGBTQI community that has been always considered as other individuals.

We know Sonam is a fashionista and many times, she has turned our heads with her sartorial choices. During one of her promotions, Sonam donned a rainbow-coloured tweed outfit and she looked vibrant in it. For the uninitiated, rainbow flag is the pride flag of the LGBTQI community. The outfit was specially designed for Sonam by Escada and with this unique dress, she has again proved that she is a true advocator of the LGBTQI community. Have a look at Sonam’s Instagram post and her caption in it.
