Sonu Sood reveals how Anurag Kashyap had promised him a role in ‘Gulaal’ but cast someone else

Amidst the lockdown, actor Sonu Sood became the messiah of migrants and rightfully so ever since then he has been showered with love by his fans and followers. The handsome hunk recently appeared on actress Neha Dhupia’s podcast, ‘No Filter Neha’. And it was on this show when Sonu shared some really interesting anecdotes.

The actor even revealed how Anurag Kashyap disappeared after promising him an interesting role in his film ‘Gulaal’ (2009).

During one of the segments on ‘No Filter Neha’ season 5, Sonu was asked about the ‘superpowers’ of certain Bollywood celebs. So when asked about filmmaker-actor Anurag Kashyap’s ‘superpowers’, Sood said that it is ‘disappearing after offering films’.

“Anurag promises you a film and then disappears. I tease him a lot about it. Many years ago, he was making a film called Gulaal, in which he gave me a great role. He told me that only I could do the role. I got the script and began preparing, but Anurag disappeared after that. I later found out that the film was made with someone else,” Sonu shared. The ‘Dabangg’ actor also revealed that he still teases Kashyap about that incident.

Neha had shared a promo of this episode on her Instagram handle, alongside the caption, “I am grateful to have a friend who’s been in my life since 15 years! Spilling the beans on Akshay Kumar’s superpower, Sood said, “He counts currency notes very quickly. He earns also very quickly and I think he must have got a currency counting machine as well.”
