Sonu Sood apologises as he gets criticised for sitting at the footboard of local train

In the past few years, especially after the Covid pandemic hit the nation, Sonu Sood emerged as a messiah for the underprivileged people across the nation. From helping migrant labourers return to their home, to providing food, education and many other basic civic amenities, the actor truly acted as a hero to help the people in need, and till today, Sonu Sood continues with his humanitarian and charity work through his foundation. But recently, the actor got in a little trouble online for a recent video of his, but being the big-hearted man that he is, the actor came out and apologised.

Recently, Sonu had posted a video on his Twitter account that saw him traveling in a Mumbai local train while he is sitting on the footboard next to the gate. Soon after the video hit the internet, the official handle of Northern Railway, India responded to it, sharing a message on safety for the actor and asking him not to travel in such an unsafe way again. They wrote the note in Hindi which loosely translates to, “Dear, @SonuSood, You are a role model for millions of people in the country and the world. Travelling on train steps is dangerous, and this type of video may send the wrong message to your fans. Please do not do this! Enjoy a smooth and safe journey.”

Sonu was quick to realise his fault and apologised to the Northern Railway by replying to their tweet. He also shared his note in Hindi that loosely translates to, “Apologies… just sat there watching, how would those lakhs of poor people feel whose lives still pass through the train doors. Thank you for this message and for improving the railway system of the country.” Meanwhile, the actor is continuing with his great work of helping the people in need and aims to do better for them in the coming year too.
