Sonu Sood came as a saviour to the citizens in more ways than one during the Covid-19 pandemic. But, the actor has been down with the virus himself now. Taking to his Instagram account yesterday, Sonu wrote, “Hi everyone, This is to inform you that I have tested positive this morning for Covid-19. As a part of precautions, I have already quarantined myself and taking utmost care. But don’t worry this gives me ample time to solve your problems. Remember I’m always there for you all.”
Sonu said in a recent interview that he could not avoid meeting people over the risk of contracting the virus and yes he took all the precautions, wore a mask while meeting the people but there is only so much he could do. Sonu told ETimes, “Frankly speaking, the kind of work I have been doing to help the poor and needy needs me to meet people and even travel, else that work will not happen. Wherever I went, there were several people waiting to meet me; I couldn’t avoid interacting with them. Of course, I have always worn a mask but this disease has no answers; it’s happening to many of those who have been very careful.”
The Simmba actor revealed how he is still going to continue his work from home, he said, “I am not going out but I have got time to do more social work from home on phone. I will always strive for the happiness of the people.” Talking about the symptoms, Sonu said that he had a cough and cold; so deciding not to take any risk he got himself a RT-PCR test, “I had developed fever by the time the test result came positive.”
