Yesterday we came across reports of veteran television actor Anupam Shyam being admitted to ICU after a kidney infection. Anupam is known for his role in ‘Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya’ and his family have sought financial help from the fraternity for his treatment. Actor Sonu Sood has come forward to offer help to the veteran actor’s family.
Cine And TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) made an appeal for donation in order to help the actor’s treatment. Sonu Sood offering his help and sharing CINTAA’s tweet wrote, “In touch with them”.

62-year-old actor’s brother Anurag, talking about his health condition, had shared that post his dialysis in Malad hospital the actor had collapsed. Anurag told SpotBoyE, “They suggested we take him to some other hospital which has an ICU. So I got him admitted to this hospital (in Goregaon) but it is expensive and we don’t have money for the treatment. All of what he has earned has already been spent on his medication. We are really in need of money. I request you all to spread the word in his fraternity so that someone can come ahead and help us.”
Apart from television, Anupam Shyam has also worked in films like ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’, ‘Bandit Queen’, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, ‘Dil Se’, ‘Nayak: The Real Hero’ to name a few.
We are glad that at least Sonu has come forward to help the veteran actor in the time of need.
