Sonu Sood gets a COVID patient airlifted from Nagpur to Hyderabad for special treatment

Sonu Sood has become no less than a superhero for the common men. He is called “messiah” by people as the actor had helped many in the Covid-19 pandemic. Even in the second wave of Covid-19, he is not lacking behind. Sonu is trying his best to help the needy in this time of crisis. He gets a Covid-19 patient, Bharti airlifted in an air-ambulance from Nagpur to Hyderabad for special treatment. Bharti had lost almost 85-90 % of her lungs due to Covid. Sonu has helped her to get shifted to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad from Nagpur.

Sonu told ANI, “Doctors had said that the chances are 20 percent and asked me whether I still wanted to go ahead with it. I said ‘Of course. She is a 25-year-old young girl and she will fight the battle hard and she will come out of it stronger that’s why we took this chance and decided to get an air ambulance and the best team of doctors in the country to treat her. She will recover and come back soon.”

With this, Sonu has yet again proved that he is a ‘real-life’ hero for the people. Isn’t it?

Meanwhile, he has tested negative for Covid. Sonu took to social media and wrote, “Tested: COVID-19 Negative (sic).” He had tested Covid positive on April 17.

Sonu took his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at Apollo Hospital, in Punjab on April 7. But even after taking the vaccine, he contracted the virus. He had also launched ‘Sanjeevani – A Shot of Life’, an initiative to encourage people to get vaccinated against coronavirus and raise awareness about vaccination drive in the country.
