Sonu Sood meets Maharastra Governor; receives praise and full support for helping migrants

The kind of people who help the needy ones in the time of need are the real hero. Sonu Sood has proved that in order to be a hero one doesn’t need the silver screen. Just doing your best for humanity is enough to make you admirable and an inspiration for everyone out there.

Yesterday, Sonu met Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan to inform him about his initiative to help the migrants reach their home amidst the lockdown.

The governor not only appreciated the actor for all that he is doing for the migrants but also assured him the government’s full support. Applauding Sonu for the tremendous work that he is doing for the migrants, a tweet from Bhagat Singh Koshyari read, “Film star @SonuSood called on at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai today. Shri Sood briefed about his ongoing work to help the migrant people to reach their home states and to provide them food. Applauded his great work and assured him of his fullest support in these endeavours (sic).”

Two days back, Sonu has even airlifted 177 girls stuck in Kerala.  A special aircraft was arranged to take the girls from Kochi to Bhubhaneshwar.

Over the last few weeks, Sonu has been working non-stop to help the stranded migrants reach their home safely amidst the Covid-19 lockdown. The actor has even arranged food for them. Netizens, as well as the film fraternity, showered praises on Sonu for his selfless efforts.

Praising him, actress Shilpa Shetty took to Instagram and wrote, “A superhero has been working tirelessly from the frontlines to ensure our fellow citizens in need reach their homes safely. This is a beautiful, humbling & selfless gesture that has eased thousands of lives at a time when there’s so much pain & suffering. the example you’ve set speaks volumes of kind of person you are & will be remembered by generations to come (sic).”

Sonu indeed is doing an applaud worthy job and he has succeeded in doing what several top stars and authorities couldn’t do.
