Sonu Sood REACTS to reports of evasion of Rs 20 crore tax: ‘Every rupee in my foundation is awaiting its turn to save a precious life’

Actor Sonu Sood has been grabbing headlines after the income tax department pulled off a raid at the actor’s residence. Reportedly, the IT department had been conducting raids at Sonu’s residence for 3 consecutive days and then claimed that Sonu has evaded tax of Rs 20 crore. However, on Monday, a few minutes back, the Happy New Year actor took to his Instagram account and dropped a note saying that, “You don’t have to tell your side of the story. Time will.”

His note definitely hints at the latest reports that have been surfacing online. In the note, Sonu has mentioned that he has pledged to serve the people and that every penny of his foundation is dedicated to the life of the people and to reach the needy. In fact, Sood further mentioned that his endorsement fees are also being donated for humanitarian causes.

His note read, “I have pledged myself to the service of the people of India with all my strength and heart. Every rupee in my foundation is awaiting its turn to save a precious life and reach the needy. I addition, on many occasions, I have encouraged brands to donate my endorsement fees for humanitarian causes too, which keeps us going.”

“I have been busy attending to a few guests hence was unable to be at your service for the last 4 days. Here I am back again in all humility. At your humble service, for life,” he continued.

“‘Kar bhala, ho bhala, anth bhale ka bhala’ My journey continues… Jai Hind,” Sonu concluded his note.

For the unversed, Sonu Sood earned the title of messiah for his selfless deeds in 2020. He stepped into the field to help the migrant workers so that they can go back to their homes due to the complete lockdown in the city. He arranged busses for people when everything came to a halt.
