Sooraj Pancholi says ‘I’ve also won my dignity back’ after being acquitted in Jiah Khan’s death case

Actor Sooraj Pancholi who was accused of abetment to suicide in the Jiah Khan death case has been found not guilty. A special CBI court announced their verdict, acquitting Sooraj from Jiah Khan’s case. Right after the verdict was given, the Hero actor released an official statement. He stated that he not only won the case but also won his confidence and dignity back.

Sooraj Pancholi’s official statement:

After the verdict was given on Sooraj Pancholi regarding the Jiah Khan death case, he said he is glad with the decision. The statement read, “The Verdict has taken 10 long painful years and sleepless nights. But today I have not only won this case against me but I have also won my dignity and confidence back. It took a lot of courage to face the world with such heinous allegations. I hope and pray to God that nobody goes through what I have gone through at such a young age. I don’t know who will give me these 10 years of my life back to me, but I am glad that this has finally come to an end not only for me but specially for my family. There is nothing bigger than peace in this world.”

For the unversed, Jiah Khan died by suicide on June 3, 2013. She was found hanging at her Juhu residence. A six-page letter was found, hence, the Central Bureau of Investigation had to come on board for the investigation. Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia filed a complaint against Sooraj who was dating the actor at that time.

Sooraj was accused of abetment to suicide and was arrested right after. Now, after 10 years, the court has cleared charges against the Satellite Shankar actor.
