Sooraj Pancholi urges CBI court to issue non-bailable warrant against Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia- Report

On Tuesday, Sooraj Pancholi sought a non-bailable warrant against late actress Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia Khan. As per reports, Sooraj has moved an application before the special CBI court in Mumbai stating that the late actress’ mother is trying to delay the trial.

Sooraj through his lawyer Prashant Patil reportedly accused that Jiah Khan’s mother had been evading summons and not appearing before the CBI court.

According to a report in TOI, Sooraj’s handwritten application reads as, “The prosecution has served the summons to the original complainant several time, but she is not appearing before this court to depose her statement.”

It added, “The original complainant doesn’t seem to be co-operating with this court for an expeditious trial and avoiding coming before this court to delay the trial.”

Adding to that, the report also stated that the special CBI judge AS Sayyad asked the CBI to file a reply to the application by Sooraj. The case has been adjourned for further hearing on July 7.

According to the reports, the court has been summoning Jiah’s mother Rabia since February to depose her statement. Reportedly, so far, she has filed two replies stating why she could not come to Mumbai from London to depose.

Sooraj Pancholi is the son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab. He made his debut with the romantic action film ‘Hero’. He was starred opposite Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty. Later, he was seen in Satellite Shankar where he played a soldier. He was also seen in Time To Dance alongside Isabelle Kaif and Waluscha De Sousa.
