Sushant Singh Rajput passed away yesterday after committing suicide in his Bandra residence. The actor has been said to have been depressed from his life, which led to this terrible action by him. While many celebs have come forward and spoken up about his death, Soundarya Sharma has some potent questions for all of us as a society.
Soundarya Sharma recently spoke to Bollywood Bubble about being stuck in the US and being unable to fly back home in India. Have a look at the conversation here:
Talking to Bollywood Bubble, Soundarya said, “Sushant Singh Rajput rose from outside the industry with his hard work and dedication. He was already the next big thing. As I read from social media today, grief is being poured out on him being depressed. If we knew, what did we do about it? Was he reached out to? Did he feel the indifference of he being an outsider in the industry? There are many questions which would never be answered.”
Indeed it is true, Soundarya. Many people have spoken up about him after his suicide, but there was hardly anyone with whom he could be sharing his thoughts and feelings which led to him taking this step. Having so many fans and followers also, he couldn’t feel accepted and was constantly feeling left out.
“I would just say let’s pay our respects to the human he was and prayer for his peace. It’s sad, very sad that social media is running a post-mortem!! May his departed soul RIP. My prayers for him and his family. May God gives strength to his family,” concludes Soundarya.
