Soundarya Sharma travelled to Los Angeles to attend an acting course at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. However, due to the ongoing Coronavirus lockdown, she has got herself stuck in the US. The country is already in a dire state with the most number of COVID-positive cases coming from there. To add to it, President Donald Trump has yet not announced a total lockdown all over the nation, which is somewhat adding up to the increase of the deadly virus among the masses. Soundarya, however, is stuck in her apartment and is not going out anywhere. But now, she has called for an SOS from the Indian Embassy.
Soundarya has written to the Indian Embassy And Ministry Of External Affairs to urge them for her speedy evacuation. However, there is no positive revert from the embassy as of yet.
Speaking exclusively to Bollywood Bubble, Soundarya said, “I came to Los Angeles, for my Intensive Acting Training at Lee Strasberg Theatre And Film Institute and New York Film Academy. I managed to complete my Lee Strasberg course, but NYFA couldn’t complete due to this pandemic of nCovid-19. I’m stuck here since then 1.5 months.”
When asked about whether she has got any help, she said, “Yes, I have approached the Indian Embassy and MEA and I hope to get back home soon as soon as the lockdown lifts up and flights operate as borders are shut now!”
But has she received any revert from any of them? “None on evacuation, but just advised to follow the regular advisory.”

The actress also spoke to PTI recently and spoke about students who are stranded in the US without proper food and other necessities. According to her, more than 400 Indians including students are stuck in the US now amidst the spread of the deadly virus. She was quoted saying, “I would humbly request the Indian embassy and the MEA for a stimulus package for all those students and fellow Indians who are stuck here to help overcome this situation and hopefully arrange an evacuation flight back to India.”
