We lost another gem this year as legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam passed away at 1:04 pm today. The news was announced by the singer’s son SP Charan as per a report by ANI. Balasubrahmanyam was 74. He was admitted at MGM Healthcare in Chennai. They had released a statement saying he was ‘extremely critical’ and was on ‘maximal life support’.
This is an extremely huge loss to the industry and Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor and others mourned the great singer’s death.
Akshay took to his Twitter handle and mourned the legendary singer’s death, he wrote, “Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Balasubrahmanyam ji.Just a few months back I’d interacted with him during a virtual concert in this lockdown..he seemed hale,hearty & his usual legendary self…life is truly unpredictable. My thoughts & prayers with his family??#RIPSPB”

Anil Kapoor also mourned SP Balasubrahmanyam’s death, he wrote, “Great human being and an incredible singer…lucky to have had him dub for me…give his voice to my performances in my first Telugu and Kannada film…SP Balasubrahmanyam will be missed truly…my heartfelt condolences & prayers to the family…”

Mourning the great singer’s death, Riteish Deshmukh took to his Twitter and wrote, “हम बने तुम बने -एक दूजे के लिए। #SPBalasubrahmanyam ji -thank you for the amazing music: -with a heavy heart I say…साथिया या तूने क्या किया?
