Sridevi files a case against ‘Puli’ producers

Bollywood beauty Sridevi after the super success of her film ‘English Vinglish’, will now be seen in Vijay’s ‘Puli’. The Diva is making a comeback in Tamil Cinema after as gap of twenty years. Everything was going well on the work front when news of a dispute between the actress and the makers of Puli made headlines.

It has come to our ears that Sridevi has filed a complaint against the makers for financial remuneration. The producers of Puli, PT Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens have apparently failed to pay Rs 50 lakhs from the promised amount of Rs 5 crores.

Taking action against the makers Sridevi has lodged a complaint at the Mumbai Producers’ Council which in turn has been referred to the Tamil Nadu Film Producers’ Council. Recently the Income Tax department had raided the homes and offices of the makers of the film and froze their bank accounts. The movie too failed to generate much at the box office.

Producer Shibu Thameens who is in the hospital has given a statement that they will soon sort the money issue with Sridevi.
