Sridevi’s demise leads Shabana Azmi to cancel her Holi party, for the first time in years

Those twinkling eyes that will never sparkle again. Sridevi, the eternal ‘Hawa Hawai’ is no more and even 24 hours after her death, it is a truth with is hard to digest. The whole Bollywood is mourning the loss of India’s first female superstar, and the fans are in shock.

In the wake of the matter, Shabana Azmi has cancelled her Holi party, which is sort of a tradition. This is even more saddening as in all these years, this party has never been cancelled. Shabana ji took to Twitter to announce the same.

Our Holi party at Janki Kurir stands cancelled on 2nd March in the wake of Sridevis passing away.

Sridevi was in Dubai along with husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor, for the wedding of nephew Mohit Marwah. Elder daughter Janhvi could not make it to the wedding due to work commitments. The actress however passed away due to a severe cardiac arrest yesterday late night. Her mortal remains are awaited in Mumbai for cremation, while the family is returning from respective places for the same.
