SRK attends ‘Water Cup’ event on behalf of Aamir and Kiran

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao have been diagnosed with swine flu, and because of that the couple couldn’t attend the ‘Water Cup’ event organised by their NGO Paani Foundation. However, Aamir requested Shah Rukh Khan to attend the event on his behalf, and the latter agreed.

Though Aamir couldn’t physically be there, he interacted with everyone via video conference. The actor stated, “It’s a very happy occasion. But both I and Kiran are sad. After working hard so much on this project for a year, when the time came to celebrate with you all, we have fallen sick. The disease that we have contracted is H1N1, which spreads very fast, if we come in contact with people. It is popularly known as swine flu. As a result, we have to be in this house for the next one week and it’s also the reason why we couldn’t come there.”

Shah Rukh Khan also tweeted and thanked Aamir and Kiran for giving him a chance to attend the event. The actor tweeted, “Thx @aamir_khan & Kiran for giving me the honour to stand in for u. @dev_fadnavis ur concern for farmers is touching.” [sic]

Few days ago, SRK and Aamir have been interacting with each other on Twitter. While Aamir had wished all the best to the team of ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, SRK had also praised the trailer of the ‘Secret Superstar’. (Also Read: Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao detected with swine flu)

Aamir had tweeted, “Shahrukh, Anushka, Imitiaz, all the very best for your release tomorrow! I’m sure it will rock!! Looking forward !!! Love. a.” [sic]

Talking about ‘JHMS’, the film has done a very average business over its first weekend. The stable week days can only save this Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma-starrer which is directed by Imtiaz Ali.
