Stree 2 teaser OUT: The beloved daayan is back to haunt you and tickle your funny bones; Shraddha Kapoor & RajKummar Rao raise anticipation

Following the phenomenal success of the 2018 film Stree, the makers have finally unveiled the much-anticipated teaser for their highly awaited sequel, Stree 2. The teaser gives us glimpses of horror, suspense, comedy, friendship and of course, the Stree herself. The teaser starts with RajKummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana, Abhishek Banerjee and Pankaj Tripathi announcing that the Stree is back and cut to, Shraddha Kapoor appears on the screen.

After a sneak peek attached to the theatrical release of ‘Munjya,’ the makers finally dropped it digitally, generating excitement amongst audiences. The Stree is back in the town but this time as a protector. Remember in the last scene of Stree (2018), the people of the village put up a huge statue of Stree with a tagline saying, ‘Oh Stree Raksha Karna.’ In the Stree 2 teaser, people were seen pouring milk on the statue. However, things go a little haywire when we get to see all the boys including the friends of Vicky getting possessed by the daayan. It is also not clear if Shraddha fights with the villagers or fights with the daayan.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, the teaser hints at a thrilling narrative that will see the return of the original cast. Also starring Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee, it promises a return to the spooky yet hilarious world where the legendary Stree continues to terrify men. Get ready to celebrate Independence Day with a double dose of chills and laughter! Stree 2 is set to hit theaters on August 15, 2024.
