‘Street Dancer 3D’: Varun Dhawan says late YouTuber Danish Zehen is the inspiration for his character

Varun Dhawan is currently gearing up for his much-awaited next ‘Street Dancer 3D’. The actor is knee-deep in promotions right now. Varun recently revealed the inspiration of his character Sahej in the movie as he paid late YouTuber Danish Zehen a tribute.

Varun took to his social media a while back to reveal the inspiration behind the look of his character Sahej in ‘Street Dancer 3D’. The look he sports is of a toned muscular body with tattoos all over and ashy blonde highlights on the hair.

The caption read, “The handsome DANISH was the inspiration for SAHEJ’s look in #streetdancer. Danish is no more and is in a better place but is loved by so many so I thought I should share this so people should know that he even inspired us. @remodsouza sir suggested this look and @aalimhakim bhai executed it superbly. Love and respect #danish (sic).”

Danish was also a contestant on Vikas Gupta’s show ‘Ace Of Space’. He passed away December 20, 2018, in an accident on the Sion-Panvel Highway in Navi Mumbai at the age of 21.

Apart from Varun Dhawan, ‘Street Dancer 3D’ also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi along with Prabhu Deva. The film is being helmed by Remo D’Souza and it is set in the backdrop of India-Pakistan relationship and a dance competition. The film is seemingly the third part in the series of films like ‘ABCD: Any Body Can Dance’ and ‘ABCD 2′. The much-awaited dance drama is slated to hit the screens on January 24. It will face tough competition at the ticket windows from ‘Panga’ starring Kangana Ranaut, Richa Chadha, and Jassie Gill.
