On Tuesday, an incident of theft at actress-politician Hema Malini’s Andheri warehouse came to light. The Mumbai Police are presently on lookout for the culprit and a domestic servant tops the suspect list.
The servant was unreachable for around a week, which led Malini’s manager visit the house, situated near DN Nagar, Andheri West.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police D. Bhargude, a complaint against the suspected caretaker was lodged at Juhu police station. (Also Read: Hema Malini honoured for her contribution to cinema, by IFFR)
The stuff stolen included imitation jewellery, costumes, props and some miscellaneous items, mostly used by the actress for her shoots and dance shows. The estimated value of stolen goods is around Rs 90,000.
Hema Malini, on the personal front, is living a fulfilled time as her elder daughter Esha Deol awaits her first child with husband Bharat Takhtani.
A celebrated actress and dancer, Malini joined Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in 2004 and served as a member of Rajya Sabha till 2009. She presently represents Mathura as an MP from Mathura.
