Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor and The Archies team announce its release date with a countdown on Mumbai streets- Watch

Zoya Akhtar directed musical The Archies is truly one of the most awaited releases of the year. The director is launching 7 new fresh faces that includes three star kids. The excitement around The Archies release date has been quite high, and now we finally have one.

The Archies release date announced

The Archies, a coming-of-age musical, follows the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel and Dilton. The characters will take audiences to the fictional hilly town of Riverdale on December 7, 2023. The Archies is seen through the lens of the unique Anglo-Indian community. The musical explores friendship, freedom, love, heartbreak and rebellion in a heartwarming way.

Zoya’s musical has an ensemble cast that includes 7 fresh faces including Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Sridevi’s younger daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Yuvraj Menda and Dot. Most of them are debuting with the film.

The cast announced the date of launch along with their director, Zoya Akhtar in a unique way. They did it with a live billboard on one of India’s busiest roads – Mumbai’s Western Express Highway. The billboard also has a countdown timer which tracks the number of days before the film launches on Netflix. Fans have already begun marking their calendars for this musical set in the 1960s and it’s 100 days to go for the big day.

The Archies details

The Indian adaptation of the beloved comics will see Dot play Ethel Muggs, Agastya Nanda as Archie Andrews, Khushi Kapoor as Betty Cooper, Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones, Veronica Lodge will be portrayed by Suhana Khan, Reggie Mantle will be played by Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda plays Dilton Doiley. Ayesha Devitre Dhillon, Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar have written the film. The Archies teaser got a lot of appreciation on its release a while ago.
