Suhana, Agastya, and Khushi starrer The Archies trailer out!
The Indian adaptation of the beloved comics will see Suhana Khan as Veronica Lodge, Agastya Nanda as Archie Andrews, Khushi Kapoor in the role of Betty Cooper, Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones, Dot play Ethel Muggs, Heartthrob Reggie Mantle showcased by Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda will play Dilton Doiley.
What’s amazing about the whole concept is, that the makers have given the American comic an Indian touch to strike the right chord while exuding retro vibes with a touch of quirk. All the elements that make this film nostalgic are present. From the iconic Pop Tates where the gang enjoys their milkshakes, toy trains, parties, skates – you name it and it’s there! Not only this, the story is also backed by a strong message of saving the environment.

The trailer begins with, a toy train arriving at Hill Station Riverdale and a voice-over describing how the fictional town was formed. We further get a glimpse of the aforementioned sitting in town’s popular café wondering about life. Further, we get introduced to characters, from heartthrob Archie living his musical dream to filthy rich Veronica Lodge being the eye-candy of the whole town, to innocent yet passionate Betty Cooper.
The teenagers dance the night away while following their ambitions and celebrating friendship, embracing love and dealing with heartbreaks. But things turn awry after they get to know that their favourite green park will be cut down to build a plaza. And guess what! No one but Veronica’s father will be the reason. How these teens come together and whether they will be able to protect the park and environment, is something that will be interesting to watch. Watch the trailer here:

In an interview, she revealed that the actors were put through ‘an intense boot camp’ to set themselves for the movie. She said, “They just stick together all the time, they hype each other a lot and I hope it stays. They have been good with each other, they have played off each other and that energy comes through.”
