Actor Suniel Shetty was called out by a Twitter user over an advertisement for a pan masala brand. He had mistaken him for Ajay Devgn as he tagged Shetty instead of Ajay while slamming Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay for promoting the brand. He called the trio ‘Gutka Kings of India’ and wrote that they should feel ashamed to lead nation in wrong way. Suniel gave a savage reply to the user as he corrected his mistake. The user apologised to the actor and said that he is his fan.

Suniel Shetty wrote to him in a tweet, “Bhai thu apna chashma adjust kar le ya badal de”. This is really an epic one, isn’t it?

To which the user replied back, “Hello @SunielVShetty Sorry it was just mistagged and I didn’t mean to hurt you bhai, lot of love. It should be (@ajaydevgn) As I am your fan your name ups always first in tag”. Suniel responsed with a folded-hand emoji.

For the unversed, recently Prithviraj actor Akshay Kumar received severe backlash for promoting the same pan masala brand. He later apologised to his fans in a statement.

“While I have not and will not endorse tobacco, I respect the outpouring of your feelings in light of my association with Vimal Elaichi. With all humility, I step back. I have decided to contribute the entire endorsement fee towards a worthy cause. The brand might continue airing the ads till the legal duration of the contract that is binding upon me, but I promise to be extremely mindful in making my future choices. In return I shall forever continue to ask for your love and wishes,” wrote the actor.
