Sunita Ahuja addresses Raveena Tandon’s comment on marrying Govinda; says, “Le jaa, pata chalega tujhe”

Sunita Ahuja opens up on Govinda’s chemistry with Raveena

Recently, Sunita Ahuja who is known for her candid and no-filter demeanour, opened up in an interview with Hindi Rush about the rumours surrounding her husband’s alleged affairs, and the recent controversial remarks made by his former co-stars Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty.

In a light-hearted moment, Sunita shared, “Raveena still says, ‘Chi Chi (Govinda’s nickname), if I had met you earlier, I would have married you.’ I told her, ‘Take him, then you’ll find out.'” This playful banter underscores the long-standing friendship between the two actresses. They have starred together in more than a dozen films throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Raveena and Govinda were in Dulhe Raja (1998), Aunty No 1 (1998), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998), and Sandwich (2006). Raveena even made a recent visit to Govinda in the hospital after he accidentally shot himself in the foot.

Sunita also addressed her husband’s other co-star, Shilpa Shetty, who visited him in the hospital as well. During a recent appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix India, Govinda revealed Shilpa joked about the situation. She asked, “If Sunita wasn’t home, then who shot him in the foot?” Sunita quipped back, “I told Shilpa, ‘If I had shot him, I would have aimed for the chest, not the leg. If you’re going to do something, do it completely or don’t do it at all.'”

In the same interview, Sunita discussed her appearances on Kapil Sharma’s comedy show. She humorously encouraged Govinda to have affairs. She clarified that her comments were all in good fun. While she wasn’t particularly worried about Govinda’s fidelity during his prime—believing he was too busy to stray. She admitted to feeling a bit more concerned now that he has turned 60.

Looking ahead, Govinda is set to star in upcoming projects including Baahe Haath Ka Khel, Pinky Darling, and Len Den: It’s All About Business.
