Sunjay Kapur blasts out; says Karisma Kapoor married him for money

Actress Karisma Kapoor estranged husband Sunjay Kapur has accused the beauty of marrying him for money and has been extorting money from him since the separation. This was claimed by the Industrialist as he filed a fresh divorce petition in the Bandra family court. The petition also claims that the beauty married the Delhi-based businessman on a rebound after break up with actor Abhishek Bachchan.

The petition also states “Karisma Kapoor married the petitioner in a clinical and calculative manner to pursue a lavish lifestyle. She has failed not only as a wife, daughter-in-law, but also as a mother. She has been using her two children, Samaira and Kiaan as “pawns” in her bid to claim more money. She even cruelly deprived” Sunjay’s ailing father access to Samaira and Kiaan, and he passed away six months while pining for them. When the marriage failed all thanks to the actress she used her PR team to portray her husband as a cheater and an alcoholic.”

His lawyers Aman and Priya Hingorani have added, “A trust was founded by Sunjay for his children of which Karisma demanded to be made a sole trustee and also refused to accept conditions that would have made her accountable to usage of the funds. She even wanted her sister Kareena Kapoor to be made her successor rather than the children’s father. As these terms were not acceptable to her husband she blocked him from meeting their children.”

Karisma’s lawyer, Kranti Sathe has termed Sunjay’s accusations atrocious and false. “We will tell the court that he is causing great harm to the children’s welfare by spreading false stories. We don’t want a trial by media.”

Looks like things are getting murkier in the Sunjay Kapur and Karisma Kapoor divorce proceedings. We shall soon be back with some more on this.
