Sunny Deol credits daughter-in-law Drishya Acharya for success of Gadar 2 after multiple failures: It’s not that we weren’t trying

In the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Bollywood actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol graced the stage as guests. In a heartfelt conversation with Kapil Sharma, the Deol brothers delved into their illustrious careers, their bond with their father, Dharmendra, reminiscing about their journey in the film industry.

Reflecting on their successes and struggles, Bobby Deol reminisced about the pivotal year of 2023, which marked a significant turning point for their family. He expressed his joy over the culmination of their collective efforts, particularly highlighting Sunny Deol’s iconic film Gadar. He also opened up on father, Dharmendra’s memorable role in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and his own superhit film Animal.

Bobby expressed,“I am glad that my brother waited 22 years after giving Gadar. And in the same year, our father’s film was released. It wouldn’t have been fun if someone else had done the role, and then my film came, and that too became a superhit.”

Sunny Deol then interjected with heartfelt sentiments, acknowledging the years of perseverance and dedication they had invested in their craft. He shared, “It has been many years, and one thing or the other thing kept happening. We were putting in our best efforts; it’s not that we weren’t trying. Bobby, I, and father, all of us tried this and that. But as my son got married and a daughter came in our home, things took a turn for good.” The audience erupted in cheers, resonating with the Deol family’s journey. Evidently Sunny Deol credited daughter- in- law Drishya Acharya for the success of the family in the industry.

Sunny also reflected on their enduring presence in the industry, spanning decades alongside their father, Dharmendra. He expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and support they had received, describing it as a surreal experience. “We have seen a lot in these years. But what happened this time, with all the love we are receiving from people… I didn’t know what was happening…I was crying and both laughing from inside… as if God revealed himself all of a sudden!”

As the emotions ran high, Bobby Deol, visibly moved, attempted to contain his tears. Acknowledging the resounding success of Animal, Sunny attributed it all to the unwavering love and support of their audience.
