Sunny Deol rubbishes reports of getting Y-security for supporting the new farm laws

There were reports that BJP MP Sunny Deol has been provided with Y-category security, which means 11 personnel, including two commandos and policemen were given to him to tighten his security. It was reportedly after his tweet on the farmers’ protest where he said that the matter was between the farmers and the government but some were trying to stir trouble.

Now, refuting the reports, Sunny took to his Twitter handle to clarify that he hasn’t received any Y-category security now. He said that he has been provided with this type of security since July 2020 and it has been connected with the current farmers’ protest which he said is wrong.

He also requested the media to verify news before publishing any news.

Sunny wrote in Hindi, “कल से, कुछ गलत मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स है कि मुझे हाल ही में मुझे Y सुरक्षा मिली है। मुझे जुलाई 2020 से यह सुरक्षा प्रदान की गई है। इस सुरक्षा प्रावधान को चालू किसानों के आंदोलन से जोड़ने का प्रयास किया गया है जो गलत हैं।”
